Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Lip & Chin Threading.

A Lip & Chin Threading session usually lasts 10–20 minutes, depending on hair amount and desired precision. We include gentle skin cleansing, the threading service, and brief aftercare guidance so you leave comfortable and smooth.

Most clients describe brief, mild discomfort similar to tweezing; sensitivity varies. Our technicians use controlled technique and calming products to minimize pain. Numbing creams are rarely necessary and sensations typically subside immediately after the service.

Typical maintenance is every 3–6 weeks depending on individual hair growth patterns. Finer hairs often allow longer intervals, while faster regrowth may require more frequent visits. Your technician will recommend a personalized schedule.

Threading is generally safe for sensitive skin because it avoids chemicals and heat. We perform a skin assessment, use gentle cleansing, and can adjust technique. If you have active irritation or certain skin conditions, we will advise alternatives.

Threading removes hair from the root and may make regrowth appear finer for some clients, but it doesn't permanently stop growth. Regular treatments can soften texture and improve overall smoothness over time.

Avoid heavy exfoliation, waxing, or retinol 24–48 hours before your appointment; arrive with clean, makeup-free skin. Aftercare includes gentle cleansing, avoiding sun exposure and harsh products for 24 hours, and applying a soothing moisturizer as needed.
