Most clients enjoy smooth skin for about three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth cycles. Regular waxing can gradually reduce regrowth density and improve timing, while hormones, medications, and genetics also influence results.
Some brief sensitivity is normal, but discomfort is typically short-lived. We use quality wax and calming techniques. To reduce pain, avoid caffeine, keep skin clean, exfoliate gently beforehand, and communicate with your technician for adjustments.
Arrive with clean skin and hair about a quarter-inch long. Exfoliate gently 24–48 hours before, avoid heavy lotions or oils, and inform your esthetician about allergies, recent tanning, or skin treatments for a safe service.
Aim for roughly one-quarter inch of hair so the wax can adhere properly. Hair that’s too short won’t remove well; if it’s too long, your technician can trim it for a more comfortable and effective wax.
Avoid hot baths, tight clothing, vigorous exercise, and sun exposure for 24–48 hours. Apply gentle, fragrance-free moisturizers and delay exfoliation for at least 48 hours to reduce irritation and support healing.
Some medications like retinoids or blood thinners can increase sensitivity or risk. Pregnancy is generally safe for waxing, but always disclose medications, pregnancy status, or recent skin procedures to your esthetician beforehand.
