Get answers to common questions about Shoulder Waxing.
Results usually last three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth, skin type, and aftercare. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and make hair finer. We recommend follow-up appointments every four to six weeks for consistently smooth shoulders.
Most clients experience a brief stinging sensation during waxing, followed by immediate relief. We use professional techniques and calming post-wax products to reduce discomfort. Numbing creams can be used on request, and sensitivity typically decreases with repeated sessions.
Arrive with clean, dry skin free of lotions, oils, or heavy perfumes. Hair should be about quarter-inch long (roughly two weeks’ growth). Exfoliate gently 48 hours before and avoid sun exposure and retinoids to reduce irritation risk.
Avoid hot showers, saunas, heavy exercise, and sun exposure for 24-48 hours. Apply soothing aloe or a calming lotion we provide, and exfoliate gently after 72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs. Wear breathable fabrics for comfort.
No. We will not wax sunburned, broken, or irritated skin, or skin recently treated with chemical peels or intense topical retinoids. Wait until skin has fully healed, usually at least two weeks, and consult our estheticians for safe timing.
Yes. Our therapists customize technique and wax choice for different hair textures and skin tones. Coarse hair may need slightly more care or timing, while finer hair benefits from regular appointments. We welcome clients of all genders.
